According to Shane Warne, by questioning ( more over expressing) the umpire about the catch, Dada probably destroy the game sprit.

  1. yes i agree particularly with respect to the catch point

  2. No

  3. Oh C'mon! Whats the big deal here? Dada is very good and he plays cricket with passion! And he did nothing that was against the spirit of cricket!

  4. What the heck is this? DADA doesn’t and he won’t!  Doesn’t Shane remember about Steve Waugh has appealed once an extra fielder stood in the leg side though there were two umpires stood on the ground. And a wonderful actor and Smart Mr. Michael Clarke had been caught by a slip fielder though he knew it is a clear dismissal and went for an appeal. There is nothing to say DADA has lost the spirit of the Sport.  And it is not very mandatory that if an International skipper says he took the catch clearly and you should not go for appeals and all. Both the players have played with their own spirit. Shane is pretty much experienced and matured as a cricketer however Ganguly.  Shane should have not released a proclamation like this. I suspect people who have opposed DADA don’t see Cricket matches and don’t even know rules of this Sport. All are not like GILLY, and SACHIN who consider the sport as sport.

  5. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  6. yes he has harmed the spirit of the game ,he is not a good sportsman ,he is a bad loser

  7. no iw ould also say that when aussis do it it doesn't matter so even for dada it won't

  8. Ganguly never crossed the margin, when it is set. If he questioned the decision, the decision must have been questionable.

  9. no i dont think so..........when aussies do it it is ok when we do it it's against the spirit of game.............y judge different people wid different yardsticks

  10. I guess ICC now allows a player to request the umpire for a review by the "third umpire" using cameras. So there is nothing wrong in appealing to the ground umpires for a review.

I think Warne is not aware of this new rule. Otherwise, it is just the Australian tactic to take a dig at everything that Indian players do! Or just to tease Ganguly a little more, and get a nasty one back from him - and then cry hoarse!!

Whatever you say, Australian cricketers are very good at it.

  11. No it was his right to ask the umpire to look at the catch again .It is easy for Shane Warne to say all this but i am sure that if he would have been at Ganguly's place he would have done the same thing. After all every decision decides a teams win or loss.

  12. I think it was just natural

this is my blog about IPL

  13. Making the other team wait on the ground was  wrong.

The match referee should decide whether his behavior (questioning the catch) was right or wrong.

The TV umpire who ruled Ganguly not out was not Indian.

  14. No, He didn't. By God, that catch was grassed. Dada fought desperately like a tiger today, in a gloomy loosing ground. We all did see that the decision of the 3rd umpire went in his favour. He oppossed against a wrong decision, and that's what we Bengalis have always done-protest against injustice.

Edit: Before thumbing me down, just look back at Warne's past carreer, and see what that guy has done. Does he even have the moral right to question Ganguly's integrity? I shall repeat exactly what Dada has said, "look who is talking!" Isn't it the same guy who was accussed of doping in the ICC World Cup, and then blamed it on his innocent mother? And go ahead, thumb me down. I shall speak the truth, even if I get 1000000 thumbs down, because I am the from the land of the Royal Bengal Tiger.  We are not afraid to speak the truth.

  15. I thought he did ask under tension and wanted to be sure; it is not wrong. Was upto Umpire to be sure. He probably would have. And Umpire should have refused if that was so.

As Sourav has laughed it away, Shane Warne is no saint as all know. SW tried to imply "Indian umpire" too. Also said Warne is emotional.

BTW the catch was not so clean. And everyone thinks Sourav acted within cricket and own right.

These controversies will keep cropping. Now that this has started, Bhajji- Sree will rest.

Media blows things out of proportion always.

  16. I think it was all in frustration as they have lost all three previous games but I hold the third umpire more in fault here as catch was cleanly taken but given not out. Maybe Ganguly thought for a moment that he was playing a local Ranjhi match and not a IPL match and so he could pull his weight around. Its just that this tournament has shown how low the indian players drop

  17. Normally it is.  However it is all depending on the merit of the rule.

  18. Sorry......let me c the match first then i'll contact u soon.....k bye

  19. yes he thinks himself to be the most superior of the knight riders team

  20. ganguly was desperate to win a game and so he tried his best to convince the umpire and eventually got what he wanted but could not win the game

  21. no. he is a good person. he also used to be a good captin for india's team

  22. Well, he thought he wasnt out and he obviously wasnt. The third umipire's decision went in his favour.  So whats the big deal? Should the umpire have asked for Warnie's opinion a la he did in Syndey by asking for Ponting's opinion? A tiger is a tiger and will behave like one when attacked.  lol

  23. Yes.

  24. sourav ganguly is a good player i like his batting . he play good and styles batting. he make a captain

  25. Regular on going incidents in cricket hyped by the media to make news out of nothing.
