no,southern ireland is part of the uk, although the natives are not aware of this, british govt let them govern themselves because no matter how bad the leader is, natives just happy to be ruled by fellow native, afterall, irish people speak english, they like to think they are in the eu because people come and do the menial jobs from east europe, ireland was denied access to the eu because they were too scared to fight in the wars, they had a scuffle at a post office instead,,,,,,,,'

Southern Ireland is actually the REPUBLIC of Ireland, just because the north is Northern Ireland doesn't make us the Southern Ireland.

Yeah we are. We have been so since in 1973. It was our 3rd attempt to join after 1961 and 1967.
