  1. a) Yes, it is a country that speaks Spanish.

    b) Heard of a thing called map?

  2. Umm.  Yeah.  Spain is where Spanish developed.  Hence the name.  And, yes, technically, since the word "hispanic"  means of Spanish language and culture, then, yes, Spain, technically IS a hispanic, in fact, the original hispanic country.

And, yes, Spain is in Europe.  But no country actually speaks any language fluently.

Spanish is THE official language of the country, with Basque (not related to any other language) Catalán, a dialect of Spanish and of Languedoc French, and Gallego, a dialect of Spanish and Portuguese, all having official status in their regions.

However, when most people think of "hispanic" people, they are thinking of the people of native american and mixed backgrounds in the Americas, and the PEOPLE of Spain are decidedly European.

And...you have a computer...you have a map.  All you have to do is type the words "map Spain" into the search engine, and Voilà!  maps of Spain, galore!

  3. Yes it is a country in Europe and they do speak spanish there. Hispanics refer to anyone with spanish decent, meaning, come from a spanish-speaking country. We normally associate hispanics with mexicans because there are so many of them in this country.

  4. Spanish (Español) is the language of Spain, but there are many variations. Many refer Español as Castellano. The website below will help you to understand the difference. The Baque community have their own language as do the Catalans.

  5. yes spain is in europe

  6. Spain is a Spanish speaking country in Europe.  In fact, it is the only Spanish speaking country in Europe.  And yes, it is a European country, the same as France, Italy etc.  Whilst technically people born in Spain are Hispanic, they never refer to themselves in this way and wouldn't like it if you did either.  The people in Spain call themselves on the whole Españolos, most english speaking people would call them Spaniards.  Hispanic is a general term that does not indicate nationality.
