Is Spanish 1 a hard class?

I start school on Monday and will be a freshman. We checked out all of our classes yesterday and our teacher seemed really nice. But the class seems very big especially for the size of the room. I also have a lot of friends in that class and I have had a talking problem since like kindergarten :) so please tell me if the spanish language is hard!

Spanish is dead easy and you probably already know quite a bit more than you think.  However if you talk in class, disrupt others and don't listen to your teacher you will probably not do very well and you will make it hard for your teacher and those around you.  By the time you are a freshman you should be mature enough to resist impulsive talking in class.  It all depends on how much you want to learn Spanish.

You should make some friends from South America or Spain.

No, it isn't hard to learn this language, you will make it just fine.  Pay attention and speak the language as often as you can.  That will help you learn much quicker than just reading through text.

I am glad you like the teacher as this is also a great help.  Try studying with another student.

Spanish I is not hard if you listen well and keep up with the work. But isn't it finally time to let go of kindergarten habits like talking too much in class? It is impossible to talk and listen at the same time. Don't make it hard on yourself.

Do you speak any other languages than english? If so, then no it won't be hard. It will be easy, but will take time, and pretty soon it will pay off! It's just like learning, and speaking english, it takes time. I took spanish class my first year, and I found it very interesting, and the language is very similar to french, and italian. But yeah, if you try hard in that class, and give it your all, then spanish class will be excellenté muchachos!
