Is Spy Sweeper neccessary anymore these days??

I was wondering because now with Windows Vista, it has that annoying user account control thing that pops up everytime you try to install something and all top brand Security Suites (Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro) include a Spyware and Adware blocker. I have never had any Spyware even when I use to use Spysweeper. It would only detect tracking cookies and thats exactly what Norton 360 does.

Having a good anti spyware/malware program on your computer not only removes active infections, it helps to prevent them from getting on your computer in the first place.

Spy Sweeper is a great program to have on your computer and I would recommend keeping it on there.

There are free alternatives, such as Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy, but Spy Sweeper has more features and helps to protect better.
