Is Star Wars: Clone wars good for a pre-schooler and a first grader?

So.. I have a first grader who keeps seeing sponsors of the Clone wars movies in commercials.. like, Mcdonalds n' other things... Anyways, whenever it comes on, he's always screaming: Star wars! He's never seen any of the other ones and I'm not even interested in this movie because of all the horrible reviews.

Would he understand it? because he likes to ask questions during movies. And would he even enjoy it? We'd also have to bring his little sister, a preschooler.

  1. it's not the best from all the killing in it but over all it's a good movie just keep the distracted in most of the time so they will not see it all and don't let them watch it a lot

  2. They will love it. the movie is meant for younger viewers, and the plot is pretty simple. and mainly only droids get killed. a few scenes show the clones dying, but it isn't graphic at all. and it is an enjoyable movie, despite the reviews. I would take them out to see it next time you go to the movies, I took the seven year old I babysit to see it twice because we both enjoyed it so much.

  3. Yes, that would be a good movie for a preschooler and first-grader. I saw Star Wars in like the late 70's when I was only 5 or 6 years old. My Dad took me and my brother to see it. Though I never understood even then, walking out of the theater, why someone would need a light-sword if they could just clench their hand to choke you even when you're in another room just up on a screen telecom.

  4. yes i enjoy this movi

  5. well i thought it wasn't horrible, it's just different because it's animated. i thought it was a lot of fun ,but he might be young. they did get rid of subtitles and words. since it is animated that made it very kid friendly, since kids cant read. but if he''s excited take him!!  but you know your child's maturity level better than i do!!! have fun!!!

  6. the movie portrays war pretty hard especially on the clones or the soldiers in white armor. Because I saw a clone jump up and pointing at the enemy and screaming, and a second later he gets shot and his helmet falls off. Then a ton of them run at the enemy and they get shot and get launched like 15 feet. Anyways overall I'll find it fun for the first grader (if he enjoys star wars) and the pre-schooler? Well depends on his morality over war and violence.
