  2. I don't know exactly what is appropriate for a 4 year old (I'm not a parent), but here is what the movie has, that I can remember, and you can decide whether your child is ready for it or not.

There are plenty of cartoon battle scenes, with droids and clones getting hit (and droids being sliced apart by lightsabers). There is one clone who gets hit and loses his helmeted head. Several alien bounty hunters are killed offscreen and their heads are brought in on a stretcher to Jabba the Hutt. There is no blood in the violent battle scenes, nor any real mourning for the deceased.

Asajj Ventress is a menacing evil character, who may or may not be scary for children (you can probably find a pic of her as depicted in the movie online).

Profanity isn't a concern, though one of the non-humanoid alien characters behaves and talks in a manner that some could consider akin to a drag queen. I don't remember any of the assorted scum and villainy do any activities that resemble smoking - so that probably isn't an issue.

Hopefully, this will be of some help to you.

  3. It all depends on what your interpretation of "bad' violence is. We brought our 3 sons (9, 6 & 4) to see it on opening night. In my opinion, the movie is not too violent at all. It is all computer animated so obviously there is no blood & gore. Some of the droids get their heads cut off & there are plenty of light saber fights but I think the correlation between a droid being decapitated & violence on a human is a pretty far stretch for a 4 year old. There are also plenty of scenes which promote selflessness, honesty & dedication. They too may be too in depth for the 4 year old but the overall message of the movie is one of goodness.

Has your 4 year old seen Star Wars movies or Clone Wars cartoons before? Our 4 year old has seen these (not all of the Star Wars movies) before & others like Spider-man  simply because he is the youngest & wants to be like his brothers. I too am cautious about violence & what types that all my boys are exposed to & I really felt comfortable (& still do) about bringing our 4 year old to Clone Wars. The movie itself has a storyline that is entertaining for an adult to watch yet it had enough action to keep all 3 boys interested throughout. It is NO way scary or dark such as the Batman movie Dark Knight; which we saw & will NOT allow any of our boys to see.

Overall, my 4 year old LOVED it, as did his 9 & 6 year old brothers. I hope that helps in some way!

  4. Here, I'll let you see something that is really helpful to me. In my opinion it isn't that bad.

There's a parent guide for all the movies on imdb.com

    Hoped I helped.

  5. yes

the violence aint that bad and plus thers only so far you can go with limitations etc

  6. It's really not that bad. I'm not a parent, but i did take my six year old brother to it, and he didn't have any problems. He keeps saying it's the funniest movie ever. He hasn't acted out any battle scenes or anything, just laughed, and on occasion, said some sort of jibberish about how awesome the explosion was! No innocent people get hurt, just robots mostly, although you do see a few clones fall down, the laser blasts go by pretty fast. but like the others said, a clones head does fall off.  but that was basically the only really bad part. all the rest of the battles are basically a few esplosions, and some droids getting destroyed.

  7. It shouldnt be bad

  8. I don't think there is anything in it that would be bad for a 4 year old.  My 7 year old nephew loved it.  The fact that it is basically a cartoon makes much of the fight stuff less of a threat also.  Here's a couple links to some clips from the movies, if you watch these I think you'll have a good idea of what to expect of the movie:

The last one here "Battle Of Christophsis" is an actual scene from the opening battle of the movie.  In this scene you can see the head of a Clone Trooper get ripped off.  Personally when I saw that I thought it was freaking awesome ... lol ... but then again ... I'm pushing 40 so I'm sure I see a different reality than that of a 4 year old ... lol ...
