Many people say Starbucks is expensive but for me the price is actually very worth it. Here a starbucks Grande Latte costs $1.95 and i find it cheap actually. You get sofa seats, airconditioning , 3 newspapers to read, good music, and an unlimited supply of milk over the counter.

At most stores here a latte of the same size, lower quality, hard wooden chairs and no newspapers to read costs $1 the lowest. I believe Starbucks actually has a fair price considering the amenities, atmosphere and service you get.

How about you is starbucks expensive for you?

  1. i dont think its expensive. about 2.50 for my frap. i think its a good price. They make it the way i like it and they have a great staff and great lounge too!

  2. Many people these days don't have time to enjoy the ac, newspapers, sofas, etc.. so it seems more expensive to the people who grab their coffee and go especially when theres a dunkin donuts down the street that has a drive thru and is cheaper.

  3. Well it depends on where you live..

so... your prices may be inaccurate for some people..

I live literally 2 minutes away from a Starbucks and a Venti costs like $4 and a grande is usually like 2-3 dollars..

    Yeah..

  4. i think its just average but when you go to to a starbucks that is on the highway them it costs triple the price and that is where some people think its expensive.

  5. I think starbucks is the most disgusting coffee available. I don't know how anyone could drink it. I would be embarrassed to be seen holding a starbucks cup. So, to answer your question. Yes, I think they charge a lot for there product.

  6. There's a similar coffee shop at the airport where I work. I get a discount so I can buy a hibiscus tea breeze cooler for a good price but I had to start leaving my debit card at home because I was wasting way too much money a month on a bunch of dirty red water with sugar. I use to keep telling myself that two dollars a day wouldn't hurt me but think about other things I could do with 60 bucks? How about buy my boyfriend an XBOX 360 game? Or say use it to buy a pitcher and ice tea karaffe + vaccuum cleaner bags or food for the cat? Or even use it for maintanance on the car or someone's birthday present or the most sensible thing to do which would be to set it aside for an emergency. Before working at the airport I would never go to Starbucks (other than the fact that American coffee tastes all of sugar and burnt coffee) and buy coffee that I could easily make myself. I don't need to lounge around at some cafe since my home is quite comfortable as it is. So to answer the question, no, it really isn't expensive for me, but I have better things to spend my money on. It's not like I pay for air conditioning at home. My boyfriend has that covered.

  7. I only have a Starbucks a few times a year. So, no, its not expensive for me. I consider the price of my mocha cheap for an occasional splurge.

Though if all I wanted was coffee, I could get it cheaper.

  8. Sweetie, you're missing the point.  It's not that 1.50 is too expensive, or a lot of money.  It's the price per a year you are spending for a beverage, that's what they mean.  Add up your total for a 12 month period, you'll see.

  9. where the heck do you live? here in houston an iced grande latte is 3.85!

but i get starbucks free because i work there =)

  10. its not expensive if you go there once a month or biweekly or on dates or just to treat yourself

but for ppl who go there every day tham yeah it adds up and your better off experimenting at home with a coffee maker you could even go online or somthing and purchase the coffee ,that your favorite restaraunts offer, and buy in bulk its probably less than going there every morning

  11. Well I don't think that Starbucks is expensive but here a frappuccino costs  well the Grande, like $3.95 or so.

  12. Unlimited milk?  The milk is not unlimited... just because it's on the other side of the counter  doesn't make it a soda fountain.

The sofas are good... air conditioning is good...

Who has all day to lounge around?  I don't I have to go to work.

If you take away the amenities, it's way over-priced.  I'm sure you agree with me there.

Finally, as a part owner of Starbucks (being a shareholder), I ban you from sitting/lounging in a Starbucks.  You can only take it to go.  No more stealing milk and newspapers.

What do you think of the prices now?

  13. yes, its worth it but some people spend $20 a day on starbucks..

its not that its expensive its the other money you spend that adds up..

  14. its twice the price where i live

  15. well for me, no, the only reason though because i only get it about twice a year. it would all add up to $6, a pumpkin turnover and 2 vanilla lattes

  16. It depends on how much time you spend there. For me, I just get my coffee and leave, so yes, it is expensive. but if you are actually staying there and using the amenities, I think it is a fair price.

  17. i don't see it expensive either.....i kinda live there :D:D...i think its really worth it
