  1. Its on almost every cafe menu.


  2. Mmmh, yes it is, and as said above you can find it on many menus. I usually don't bother making them at home, you have to find a good butcher shop and there's none near my place, but I know plenty of restaurants with good meat and a deft hand at spicing.

    For some reason it freaks out some tourists when they see someone eating a steack tartare.  (wide sadistic grin). More for us.

  3. I only get to Paris every couple years, but one of my first stops is Au Petit Fer à Cheval for s. tartare and fries. Excellent.

  4. It must be; I grew up on it! Ate it while living there for 2 years, and will still have it here at home if the meat is fresh and of good quality.

    It's popular here.

  6. only in restaurants; I've never seen anyone eating it at home (personally I've never tried it)
