Is Stephenie Meyers "new book about mermaids" still in the Twilight saga, or is it a whole new series/novel?

Another series, because she clearly states that there will be no more new additions for the Twilight saga after "Midnight Sun".

Good thing too, because a sixth part to the series would just be excessive.

definitely new series -_- and midnight sun isnt part of the twilight series, technically

if stephenie meyer is thinking about writing a book about mermaids, it would either be on a video interview with her (please list the link if there's one) or on her website. which i couldn't find it on her website anywhere. if you found that on a fansite, its not reliable.

It's not related to the Twilight Saga, it's another series shes considering writing.

She said she wanted to write it, really loves the characters, but wasn't sure if she'd be able to pull it off

yea i heard that too at one of the breaking dawn concert series

its supposed to be a whole new series because she says she's been writing her whole career about vampires and wants to write sagas with other types of creatures [mermaids, ghosts]

the twilight series on consists of:

twilight

new moon

eclipse

break dawn

& midnight sun (which she is writing now, its twilight from Edward's perspective)
