Everybody gets to hung up on talking about his assists that they seem to forget these incredible shooting numbers. Here it is at NBA.com's all-time leaders:

I still give props to Reggie Miller as the all-time best, but this question is meant to be provocative and I do believe Nash gets overlooked.

  1. its not all about 3pt fg%

its about how many three's they have made, There could be EXTREMMELY consistent 3 pt shooters who never get time because they dont attempt as they shold like Nash. He needs to shoot more so that makes Ray Allen and Reggie Miller and Larry Bird better All Time

  2. ever heard of guys named Ray Allen or Peja

  3. Reggie Miller Is He Is The MJ Of 3 Pointers

  4. No.  Reggie Miller.

James Posey is bad *** too.

  5. I had no idea about how good he was until seeing those stats.

When seeing those stats there is not a doubt he currently the best 3pt shooter in the NBA and probably the best all time.

Just look at all those attempts.

Ray Allen doenst come close to Nash in these comparisons

  6. hes not 1st right? than what u think

  7. Nash doesn't even have the best percentage. Jason Kapono does. Nash is pretty accurate, but he's only made about 1/4 of what Ray Allen has made and 1/6 of what Reggie Miller has made. But I do agree he has a good outside shot.

  8. Steve Novak or Peja or Ray Allen  anyone?

  9. it's tough to argue with that staggering statistic. I'm surprised he's up that high with so many attempts. he's definetely one of the best 3 point shooters, but not the best shooter overall.

but Nash is certainly one heck of a player. too bad Suns management condemned them with the Shaq trade and he probably won't retire with a ring.

  10. ray allan is the best 3 pointer is now the best 3pointer in history

  11. nash is a good 3 point shooter.  the thing with him is that he makes more 3s on the run, so basically hes a momentum shooter.  he needs to dribble to get his feel for the ball before he shoots.

  12. Shaquille O'Neal has led the league in FG% many times, but that doesn't make him the best shooter due his high quality percentage shots. You have to look at many more factors. Game-winning threes, clutch-ness, who the team wants the ball in hands when the game is on the line. He is a point guard and he didn't shoot the three-ball like Reggie. Reggie shot it a whole h**l of a lot more. Bryant whose field goal% isn't as high as Shaq's is a much better shooter, does that make sense? So no, not at all. Not even close.

  13. ray allen...just lucky one...since back then he started to be a slasher...and reggie a miracle...remember...steve nash...a good passer....assist persist i might say....the real deal was....john stockton...well...unfurtunately.we're talking about this days...hmmmp...Jarvis Hayes  sounds like a rookie  isnt it...but ask of we're talking about now...and he's the astonishing there is...7 out of 8 to beat the record coming from the bench.

  14. Steve Nash CURRENTLY is one of the best three point shooters. Yeah, sure, Jason Kapano is on the top of the list, but he doesn't take as many attempts as Nash and look at Nash's age! I'd say he'd fall around the top five three point shooters right now. But, in the past there's been some extraordinary three-point shooters and some of them are a lot better than Nash because they're a shooting guard, not a point guard who makes plays more than he shoots. So yes, Nash is a great three point shooter, one of the best right now, and rankintg about top fifteen to thirty for all time.

  15. Na. I love Steve Nash but even J.J. Reddick is a better shooter than Nash.
