  1. If you mean shares then no -not fixed income.

    If you mean Stock as in bonds then yes-probably fixed income.

  4. Not usually.  The stock price fluctuates means capital gains and losses and the dividend is not a legal obligation and can change.

    Exception: some utility stocks are considered fixed income because the don't fluctuate much and their dividends are very secure, so they act more like bonds.

    Other exception: preferred stock
