I am writing a research report of Sturm und Drang and I am wondering, would the characteristics of this movement be that of Romanticism?

  1. Sure--Sturm und Drang is associated with Romanticism and its emphasis on emotion. The turbulent emotions of adolescence easily morph into being led by feeling. Sturm und Drang derives from _Die Leiden des jungen Werthers_ by Goethe (1774), a precursor of the Romantic movement.
