Here's a map.  Surrey and Vancouver are seperate cities, they're just really close to each other.

Be careful out there, the roads are all in pretty crappy condition and all the drivers are freaks.  I got rear ended while leaving Surrey this last summer.

Technically no, it is it's own city but having said that, it is a suburb of Vancouver and is part of the GVRD or, the Greater Vancouver Regional District. I live in another suburb in Vancouver called Coquitlam, but when I travel I always say I am from Vancouver because people easily recognize that city.

Two separate towns within a region, I guess you can say it is part of Greater Vancouver, but Surrey people would probably hang me for that .
