Is Suvarnabhumi the main airport of banbkok?

I am flying into bangkok from australia with jetstar not sure what airport it go's to. Would the chances be suvarnabhumin airport, i wanted to connect a flight to samui? Thanks

yes it is the main airport and the flights to kho samui leave from there, so have a great time

Suvarnabhumi (BKK) which opened in late 2006 is the main airport here, and is used for virtually all international and some domestic flights. Don Mueang (DMK) is the old international airport and now is used almost exclusively for domestic flights. Only two airlines fly to Koh Samui from Bangkok, Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways. Both of them use Suvarnabhumi on their flights to Koh Samui, be careful when booking other domestic flights that have international connections, Suvarnabhumi is about 40-50km. from Don Mueang and can easily take an hour to travel between the two.
