  2. The ingredients are listed on the side of the can/container.

  4. RTFL.  If it doesn't have animal fat or stock, then it's probably vegan.  Both Imagine Foods and Pacific Foods make vegan vegetable stocks.  Imagine also makes a No Chicken Broth that's vegan.

  5. The final product is vegan if all of the ingredients are vegan.  Read the ingredients.
