Is Sweet Chili Sauce and Chili Sauce the Same Thing?

I have sweet chili sauce and the recipe calls for chili sauce in a pork chop recipe.

Sweet chili sauce is really sweet and has a lot of sugar. Plain chili sauce pretty much just pureed chilies and a little vinegar. It's also much hotter. If you don't mind a milder, sweeter recipe then use the sweet stuff.
