Is Sydney easier to find decent jobs than Melbourne?

In general which is easier place to start living for newly arrived immigrant. Job finding, cost of living and easy to move around?

Sydney DEFINITLY. Especially around the Liverpool area for living. but for job SYDNEY.. It is definitly the easiest place for immagrants because basically every majority of job insydney gives you a go. I know alot of places in melbourne that trun down diffrent races for jobs.

Both cities offer good employment opportunities. Although most companies (the global one especially) set up their head quarter in Sydney and I find that there're more companies in Sydney than Melbourne but as I said, the employment opportunities are similar.

For traders jobs - Sydney's probably slightly better due to more population = more demand :-)

Expats or immigrants tend to choose Sydney because the beach lifestyle and weather in Sydney is nicer (Melbourne has 4 seasons in a day type of weather :-)). On the other hand, Melbourne's been voted to be the world's most livable city in the world. So i's a matter of what lifestyle you'd like to have.

Sydney has higher living cost than Melbourne (rent and house pricing especially) in terms of moving around, both cities have good public transport. If you drive, Sydney can be a nightmare (traffic is busier than Melbourne).
