Is Sydney expensive to live

Would things in sydney such as food and clothing etc be more expensive then in Adelaide or Brisbane thanks

  1. I went their a few months ago. it's so exspensive with all the toll ways and all.

    But i suppose that is how they make their money.

  2. im from sydney born and bred and it is expensive for example a 2 bed unit in western suburbs like bankstown or liverpool is around 350 to rent per week and prob around 380000 to buy depending on condition also where im from northern beaches (manly) the current unit price for rent for only a two bed unit is around 400 per week very small and basic and around 500000 to buy . saying that there is lots of work but if your not professional you literally have to work to survive ! thats why i moved to wollongong only an hour drive to sydney and a lot more affordable not to mention beaut beaches

  4. Yes. Grocery prices are higher in Sydney compared to the other cities. It is Australia's most expensive city after all. It costs $4 for bread here from the local corner store.

    Many people are moving away from Sydney into smaller regional centres because of this.
