  1. This is a fellow smart and savvy enough to have made many millions--

He can probably do what the Government has not. ( should have, but can't agree on the color of the sky in recent years---->stalemate)

Trust private initiative to solve problems, not Uncle.  His plan is simple- we have LOTS of natural gas right here.  A modification of a vehicle- different tank, probably some changes in the computer program, and we are not using gasoline from oil we buy from the Middle East.

Using the windbelt to produce electrical power instead of fossil fuels is good for the environment, would reduce our use of coal and oil considerably, and conversion to liquid natural gas cuts billions of dollars from our oil costs.  If there is money in it too,  so much the better.  People who solve problems deserve to make a profit.

Of course, to some people making a lot of money any way is evil, and accomplishments must be punished by taxing away much of the money.  Government cannot solve every problem for us. Never has, never will be able to.

  2. There is always more than one solution to a problem...  Most times it's hard to say for sure which is best, or the "right" one.  It's one plan of many other possibilities, but I don't think he minds making another 100 billion in the process... He is a businessman after all.

  3. YOU HIT IT RIGHT ON THE BUTTON.

  4. You're in the wrong category.  This section is about weather.

  5. Its an election year plan

  6. T.boone pickens..i love that name..u must be in NC! good ideas..but ya probably does want them billions..

  7. I'll take the T. Boone Pickens plan over any of these government-lifers in Congress who have never accomplished anything in the business world.

It is a multi-faceted plan that has both short-term and long-term solutions. Drill here and now to help meet our immediate needs and relief from Middle East oil, develop the infrastructure to convert to renewable energies (wind, solar) for home-heating and electricity, thus freeing up natural gas resources to power cleaner (and greener) automobiles.

This is something that both parties should embrace because it is not idealistic, it is realistic, and just takes some guts and compromise to make it work.  Forget the special interests (both big oil and hardcore environmentalists who don't accept compromise).

  8. He;s doing something. More than anyone else is. I watch with excitement. If he make load-o-dough, don't care. Get us off the oil as much as he can.
