  1. actually i watched a documentary about this.

in order for the trex to be the huge predator everyone says it to be, in order for it to catch prey it would have to run atleast 25 mph. this gives a good reason why they are related to birds, as a new discovery found they had hollow bones, reducing previous thought weight from 7 tones to 5 tones, giving it the ability to chase down prey and not be a scavanger.

embryos of chickens that are looked at actually have long tails, but they soon stop growing and the plates mush together to form the small tail. they also have sharp teeth in embryo stage, but the gene to gets turned off and they disapper.

they have being able to stop both genes from actually turning off, but killed it before it hatched.

they can make an actual dinosaur this way giving it gens to have carnivourous habits and such

  2. Actually, if you really look at the skeletons, a T-Rex most resembles a chicken. No joke.

  3. It's most likely related to both equally, as birds didn't evolve from large dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex, they evolved from smaller ones like raptors. Although I'm not to sure about this, I used to be a dino-nut when I was a little kid, but I'm not an expert anymore.

  4. I'm sure a T-Rex is more related to a lizard than a bird.

EDIT: Alright, sorry about that. I just finished reading about "Tyrannosauruses," and discovered they could possible be related to birds. Though, I still believe they are thoroughly reptiles. However, if related to birds, I assume they would be closely related to "wingless birds." Common sense tells anyone Tyrannosauruses lack wings, but however, if they DID have wings structured onto their small arms, they would be too big to sustain flight, making them "flightless birds." Still, that's IF they were related to birds. In my opinion, there are a large number of inconsistencies relating the Tyrannosaurus to the bird kingdom. The theory of evolution is a controversial one, whereas evolution hasn't been proven, and the thought of an animal individually changing overtime seems impossible. If evolution does exist however, mating would play a major role, not individual changing. For example, for humans in evolve into chimpanzees, we'd have to mate with them, and spread throughout the population, (not that I'll be willing to try it. LOL) Therefore, no animal can change without the assistance of genetic altering. For instance, if an organism was stranded on a cold, snowy island, it would die, not magically grow fur to adapt. Therefore, Tyrannosaurus evolution would be impossible without mating with a bird. However, it's another inconsistency. Birds cannot breed with reptiles, therefore, again ruling out the possibilities of a Tyrannosaurus being related to birds. Well, so now we cleared Tyrannosauruses cannot be related to birds, let's go over what strengthens my theory. Apparently, birds have beaks. If you look at Tyrannosauruses' skull, you see a jaw similar to a modern day reptile, rather a full-toothed crocodile, not a beaked eagle. In other words, I believe they are full-blooded reptiles for the reasons I explained.

  5. T-Rex, dinosaur- reptile

    eagle, vulture -bird

    no relation whatsoever.
