Judges are supposed to be fair, but women don't seem to stand a chance in his court room.

  1. Nobody has to keep them in check, they are not doing anything illegal.

Controversy is why most people watch, it is for entertainment.

Both parties agree to have the judge hear their case in exchange for the opportunity to be on TV.

  2. ROFLMAO! That's like asking who keeps the "professional wrestling" real.

All of the court TV shows are just that - shows, intended primarily for entertainment. Although most of them try to stick to real legal principles, the conduct of the 'hearings' and the usual rules of conduct simply do not apply.

For most of these shows (perhaps all of them), the 'litigants' have agreed to waive their right to go into a real court to have their cases decided, and each side gets a share of the appearance fee. Often, that's more than they were likely to get if they'd won in a real court. They also sign a contract agreeing to abide by the 'rules' of the TV court.

Nothing wrong with any of this, it's just show business.

  3. Yup... This is strictly entertainment. TV ratings.. The persons in his court room have dismissed their cases.. and get paid for this..
