Is Tamron 17-500mm f2.8 good in low light shooting? what can u recommend a cheap lens good in low light ?

  1. Yes, the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 is good for general low light because of its large aperture. It's a good bang-for-the-buck lens, if you can't pay for the Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 or the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS. Just mind the autofocus on the Tamron; it's louder and somewhat slower compared to the Nikon/Canon SWM/USM.
