Because I was watching it and my mom said there is a real one only she forgot. She remembered that he fell on his carriage and was found by apes or wolves. He was found by his brother years after. But he came home in the forest.

  4. YES> and so is Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

  5. well u are asking was there ever a so tarzan not is the story real but who nos maybe there was a man lost forced to live with apes mokey well you get the point

  6. don't you think the wolves would have ate baby tarzan instead of raising it just saying....

  7. I think you are referring to the legend of "Greystoke".  Supposedly this is a true story that the tale of Tarzan was loosely based on.

There is a movie.  Watch it, it's good.

  8. Tarzan was a fictional creation of Edgar Rice Burroughs. He was probably partly based on Rudyard Kipling's Mowgli who was a fictional character adopted by wolves in India as a baby.

When the Tarzan series became popular, some other writers created similar characters who were brought up by animals.

Occasionally tabloid newspapers or investigators into strange phenomenon will relate a story of a child raised by animals. Most such tales, if investigated, turn out to be grossly exaggerated. Your mother may have a confused memory of some such story.

Look up “feral child” in Google to find many such supposedly real stories.

  9. Tarzan is just a fictional character invented by Edgar Rice Burroughs. In the stories, his parents died in the African jungle, and he was raised by apes. I think Rudyard Kipling wrote "The Jungle Book" that had Mowgli raised by wolves. Both stories may have been inspired by Jean-Jaques Rousseau's "Noble Savage" ideas.
