  2. I think it has an antiseptic quality to it, so it might sting on dry skin, you would be better with something that has an oily base, something with cocoa butter or coconut in it might be better.

  5. Yes it can be depends if the skin is sensitive as it can burn a bit. It's mostly used on acne or cuts and scrapes

  6. Tea tree or Ti-tree is a popular name that has been applied to a number of different, unrelated plants:

    1) Camellia sinensis (aka Thea sinensis), from which black, green, oolong and white tea are all obtained.

    2) Melaleuca from which tea tree oil is obtained, in the family Myrtaceae.

    3) Leptospermum, also in the family Myrtaceae; notably

    Leptospermum scoparium (Manuka) in New Zealand and southeast Australia.

    4))Kanuka (Kunzea ericoides) also in New Zealand.

    Boxthorn or Lycium in the family Solanaceae, notably

    Duke of Argyll's Tea Tree (Lycium barbarum), also known as Wolfberry or Matrimony Vine.

    4) Ti (plant), Cordyline fruticosa, in the family Laxmanniaceae, formerly treated in the family Agavaceae.

  8. Tea tree oil is not bad for dry skin but it is better for minor wounds and insect bites, being a natural antiseptic. If you have dry skin it is better to get an emollient which soothes and moisturises it. You can get creams which contain tea tree oil too.
