Is That Yourself looks good to win the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Puppy 480m Trophy
The black dog trained by D. Firmager, Romeo Contender, is sent with the odds of 13 to 8 to win the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Puppy 480m Trophy held at Nottingham on 5 March, 2012, with the prize money of £150.
The lightly raced son of Droopys Vieri, out of Fabulous Azure, will be going for the third race of his career finishing first in his debut race at Nottingham over a distance of 305m, defeating Fabulous Val by 2 ¼ lengths and covering the distance in
18.47 seconds.
D. Firmager stretched his hound in distance in his next race, sending him to run over a distance of 500 metres. Romeo Contender showed some real talent as he finished a shoulder short of the winner, Romeo Scout, in second.
The hound is still inexperienced considering other participants in the lineup, but he has shown a lot of promise in his short stint so far.
Another hound, which has been doing well, recently is the P. Rosney trained blue b***h, Noirs Memory. The daughter of Droopys Scolari, out of Noirs Magic is exiting a 3rd place finish in the Grade A2 Ceccato Derby at Belle Vue
at about 470 metres on 23 February, 2012.
She won her last race over the same distance at Belle Vue, a Grade A2 race by a margin of ¾ of a length. The victory marked her 3rd win of the new campaign and 5th over all as she managed to finish on
the board once this year.
Raced twice this year, Slick Salamanca, is trained by K. Allsop, as the white and black b***h finished on the board twice, 3rd in her 2012 debut race at Romford over a distance of 400 metres and then advanced to finish second
in her second race at Nottingham, but it was a distant 5 ½ length finish to winner Slick Saleen.
Is That Yourself sent at 8 to 1 cannot be ignored, as the P. White trained black dog has raced all his career at Nottingham except his debut race at Hall Green. With a remarkable record of 6 wins out of eight starts at the venue, the son of Ninja Jamie,
out of Illtellyouthis is a clear cut favourite to win the race.
The black dog has raced over a distance of 500 metres mostly in his previous races, and a cut back in distance could favour his running style to go all out and win the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Puppy 480m Trophy.
