Hi

I live in B.C and I am wondering if the test for the citizenship is on-line(ie you go to the place and you do the test on a computer) or is it a written test?

Thanks

  1. By the way, the word is "citizenship," not citizen ship.  Your question begins as if you are asking about a ship named Canadian Citizen.

  2. It is a multiple choice.  You get a booklet with 20 questions and you fill out a computer readable answer sheet where you darken the circles with a #2 pencil for the option you think is correct.  You must have 12 out of 20 correct, however, the last page which is about Canadian voting system and rights and responsibilities of citizens, you must have all 5 correct.  You can not cheat off your neighbour because there are 5 different versions of the test, named A, B etc. and you also fill out on your answer sheet which version you have.

There is a really good practice test at http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/ and you can also download the booklet A Look at Canada at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/p...
