Question:

Is The Economist magazine worth the subscription price?

I always pick it up when I'm in the airport traveling for work, and sometimes I find some decent articles. But overall, is it a good value? It's also hard for me to tell if the magazine is more liberal than conservative. How do you think it leans?

  1. I think it's probably worth the price, but only if you are sure you're going to read it. Nothing is worse than paying for a subscription to a magazine that simply decorates your coffee table. Try buying it for 3 or 4 months and if you find yourself reading it regularly than go ahead and subscribe. Hope this helps.

  2. The Economist is conservative leaning, the Financial Times balances it out.  Get both.

The Wall Street Journal just sucks.
