Is The Fed Destroying America?

Question

I'm not interested in all of the BS swirling around through election day.

This is the most important question IMO, that is never addressed by the people, politicians, & the like.

I have my own strong opinions on this matter, but i wanna throw this out there to see if anyone is paying attention.

Should we blame the Fed for banking regulations that were loosened?  Who loosened them?  Politicians.

Should we blame the Fed for an outrageous deficit and enormous debt?  Who is spending?  Politicians.

Whether the Fed has responded adequately to the crisis is debatable.  That they have caused the crisis is nonsense.

I am assuming you mean the Federal Reserve.  If so, they certainly hurt the country by failing to do their job and prevent the sub-prime lending problem.  Additionally, their economic policy of late seems to be based on the same whims that affect the stock market rather than sound reason and logic.  Thus, I think you can argue that they have done significant damage and that they seem to have avoided much of the deserved blame.
