Is The ISS in deep space or space?

I was wondering because i always wondered haha so if its in deep space wheres does the shuttle orbit in space or deep space?

  2. The international space station is about 350km about the earth's surface.

  3. It is not in "deep" space. It is locked in earth's orbit- which isn't too far away in length from earth.

  4. The Shuttle and the ISS orbit the Earth, about 200 miles above the suface. That is not considered deep space.

    Empty regions of the universe in outer space; anywhere beyond Earth orbit.
