  1. .   No, it's not part of the Bible Belt.

  2. No it is not.

  3. The southwestern USA is typically excluded from the Bible Belt because the number of atheists is higher in the west in general. Also, the southwest is more Catholic than the rest of the southern states.

  4. No and No.

  5. The "Bible Belt" pretty much ends with Texas.  Arizona is a very diverse state both culturally and religiously.  If anything you could call some parts of the east valley of Phoenix the "Book of Mormon" belt as there is a large LDS (Mormon) population.

  6. I don't know about the churches there but the bible belt is from the midwest running through Ok, AR and sweeping south as far as I know.

  7. No, it's not - the "Bible Belt" is really considered the south from about Texas through Mississippi.  Arizona is more egalitarian, with a huge influx from California.  And as for the person who asked about red states, there are *lots* of red states that aren't part of the "Bible Belt," including Montana, Idaho, Virginia, etc.

  8. For those of you who say it's not, than why is Arizona politically a red state ? Red states tend to always be part of the bible belt.
