Within the history of wrestling, the cage match has always been a spectacle. There have been many successful incarnations and evolutions within the gimmick's history, including WarGames and h**l in a Cell, but one that has never taken off due to either how it's been booked, or simply whose been put in it has been the Triple Tier Cage Match.
Whether it be the flawed original Tower of Doom gimmick, or it's affiliation with the Dungeon of Doom, Vince Russo, David Arquette and Oliver Platt, the gimmick has never really amounted to much, aside from a publicity stunt for a mediocre movie and a Vince Russo title reign.
My question is would you ever like to see this gimmick again? And if you could rewrite history, who would have been in the original Triple Decker Cage match?
BQ: What other wrestling gimmicks (wrestlers, angles, or match types) can you think of that aren't a bad idea, but are attached to a stigma that weighs it down?
