Is The View a live show?

like when you watch the view on tv and it is a new episode is it live or is it pre recorded or something. like it comes on at 11 am here so is that what is happening that second somewhere else in the world or did they record it like days ahead of time????? Thanks!

"The View" is a live show - at 11:00 AM (EDT).

However when the panel take their vacations (like they were the last couple of weeks) the network (ABC) broadcast old episodes from the past season.

Monday - Thursday is live except for reruns. Friday's episodes are usually taped.

The show is usually live, but occasionally pre-record a show that's seen on Fridays.  But, Barbara likes to come in on Fridays so it may be live until around the holidays or vacation time.
