Is There A Big Difference Between Co. Wicklow and Co. Wexford Accents?

I'm writing a radio play, and my main character is from Co. Wicklow. Also, are there any quirks of Co. Wicklow speech that I need to be aware of? Any special phrases, etc? And are there any "rougher" areas in Co. Wicklow?

He's based on someone I know from a large town in Wexford and I wondered how many changes I'd have to make by moving his home county a little further north.

  1. Not much differance at all only that he will call wicklow, wickla

  2. There is really not an ascertainable difference between the accents.  There is not a difference to the scale of that between a Cork or Dublin or Kerry accent which are much stronger and more distinguishable.
