P.S. Who would like to congratulate me on reaching Level 3? I don't think there could have been a more suitable question for me to ask as I reach the 1000 point mark. :)

  6. Fantastic- or should I say a load of s**+*?

Well done, but keep going to level 4!

  7. Art should create emotion. It should lift up the human spirit, or at the very least, inspire some kind of human response other than, "hey, wow, that's some really big inflatable f***s".

    This? Not art.

  8. There is no line. they are on the same part of the divide.

Banksy has made a fortune out of fooling people.

  9. Having just eaten a curry I can tell you that there is a very fine line between a f**t and a c**p

  10. Well done, both on the question and being long enough on here to get to 3!  The 'art' thing, well yes, it really was what it was supposed to be and follows the same path we seem to have been treading in England for some years now with a load of rubbish masquerading as art. I'm just glad it was some Swiss weirdo who created it and nothing we could be blamed for!

  11. There's no line at all, as far as I'm concerned.

    Congrats :-)

  12. You are right.  Without a suitably positioned lolly stick, a plie of c**p is just a pile of c**p.

  13. Lol As an artist I don't think that is art however it is odd to look at.

Does anyone else wanna pop it with a pin!

    Congrats xx

  14. The art is in the ability to fool people into believing your work is NOT c**p!

  15. What a load of c**p.

Congrats by the way, I just made it to level 7 earlier. You have a long way to go to catch up!

  18. art in the eye of the beholder...

Congrats I made it to level three yesterday..Yai Yai Thanks to the amazing team called my contacts

  19. you tell me, I can't tell the difference.

  20. I'm not sure if this is a serious question, as most of the answers seem to be poking at least a little bit (if not a whole lotta bit) of fun into art and the meaning behind it. I think the reason that many people think that art is a load of c**p is that it totally depends on what the individual thinks about a particular piece.

For me, the meaning behind art is that it's all in the intellectual intention of the work. Some might think that Rafael and Leonardo and all those other great old masters are the only archetypes for real art, but art is no longer just a hobby that the elite can engage in. Have we, as a society, just a natural inclination to think of such pieces as the only form of art, or is it because this is what we're taught in schools to think of as art? Look past the pretension of many artists and the people who surround them, the critics who scoff at them...make your own educated opinion and you might just learn a little bit about what art really is.

This, for example, is literally c**p, but did you notice how the article is biased? It doesn't describe the artist's intention in the piece, why it's there...

  21. Nice pun. There is generally though, in my opinion. Well, most modern art anyway
