  1. I can do over a minute,it just depends on your lung capacity, don,y try and hold it if you can,t.

  2. I think you may need to train both mentally and physically. Yoga is gonna to help you mentally control your breathing. But equally important is to train your body's overall fitness, especially your cardiovascular system, so it can supply your body with oxygen more efficiently.

  3. What you need to do is practice hyperventilation.

The body breathes because of the build up of carbon dioxide. If you load up on as much oxygen as possible then your breath hold should increase.

The method is to exhale fully and hard then inhale, repeat 3 times in total with the last breath in being big. Hold this breath then and time yourself.

Don't be tempted to repeat more than 3 times as there is a chance that you can pass out - the body's reaction to get you breathing normally again (no good if you're under water at the time).

Also exhaling too hard and long can cause the lung linings to stick together so be careful.

  4. Try the techniques of Jacques Mayol. You`ll need to google but i do know he used Yoga techniques which you`ll need to study. Are you hoping to be a free diver?

  5. i cant do just under 2 min i'm a swimmer but the best thing you can do is just keep doing it dont rest do it a lot go under hold as long as you can then take like a 30 sec break and do it again and again and again and again you'll get it!

  6. push all the breath out of you lungs, really squeeze it out n then take a huge breath in.
