why don't you use Microsoft Photo Editor.

It is brilliant, easy to use, not complex as Adobe, not so much messy as Coral and is good to create picture effects more than +10

Just open picture, and you can even change its colors from blue to green or red. Inc. brightness or contrast or do some cutting work.

Together with MS Paintbrush, These MS Free-of-cost Goodies are really WOW.

If you have MS Office XP Setup C.D, or MS OFFice 97 / 2000 C.D then

goto customise installation option, and check on option "Microsoft photo editor" and choose "Run all from disk" option for this software.

Normally the programs I recommend or suggest I have tried my self.

I do not do anything with pictures on my pc and therefore I have never used a program for editing photo;s. like Adobe Photoshop, PaintShop Pro etc.

I found this one last week on download.com and I know that download.com is a safe site and gives goor reviews about software, I am willing to recommend this program

Serif's Photoplus or whatever is free to use and kinda like Photoshop (well, it tries to be anyways...)

Microsoft Office Editor is a good one, too.  Easy to use.
