Is There Any Help with the Cost of Cremation for families with little or no money?

In contra costa county. Richmond, CA to be exact. Or does anyone know of any federal grants or any charrities that pay or help with the cost of cremation. Can not afford the cost so what am i supposed to do?

First, I would ask your church. Second, I would ask the crematory who has helped other families.

The County in which you reside is in charge of proper burial of indigent dead. In otherwords, if a homeless person died, and had no family, or they were unable to locate any family, the county would be responsible for his/her burial (probably cremation - it's cheaper.)
