Is There Any Way To Connect A CRT Monitor To A DVD Player?

I want to knw whether there is any way to connect my CRT Monitor to my LG DVD player. If anyone tried the same or know how to do it please help me.

  1. if you have a CRT moniter why can't you just use your computer to watch dvds, but you can get a vga to componet adapter but if the crt doesen't have speakers built in you'll need to get speakers


  2. I believe if you search the internet (or possibly stores), you can find a converter, component to VGA (the blue connection) and go with that. They have some for the next-gen consoles.

  3. Yes, if both have at least the RF input/output connections then you're fine. Also, there are other ways as well--do they both have composite? Component? What about HDMI? If they do, then you're even better! But, like I said before, at least if they have the lowest q connection: RF then you're straight.

  4. It all depends on what kind of inputs your monitor has.  If it only has an RF coaxil input, then you need to buy an RF modulator from Radio Shack.  But, if your monitor does not have a tuner, this will not work.  

    You may need to get an NTSC converter to take the composite video from the DVD to NTSC input on your monitor.
