iv seen hundreds of films but cant find one that is actually scary can some1 pleases tell me some

and The Shining because Kubrick showed perfectly the mental destruction of Man

You know what, no. I do not think there is an actual scary movie that is TRULY scary. There are "horror" movies that may make you jump, and gruesome movies that may make you gag - but as for being really scared, no.

I'm a big horror movie junkie, and the top 3 are the only ones that have ever really freaked me out. the other two i just like because they're great low budget independent films

well i find the shinning is pretty scary, not the one with Jack Nicholson. the newer version, it's pretty long and pretty good. it came out in 1997.

When I went to see "The Ring", the scene near the end where the girl came out of the tv scared everyone in the theater, they screamed.  It wasn't the suddenly-startle-you type of scary but more of a creepy scary, because she kept coming, right out into the living room, and was no stopping her.........

I guess it depends on the type of scare you're looking for.  Maybe you're looking too hard and just expect the same scare tactics so they aren't scary to you...........
