  1. I thought you wanted sponsoring for a visa to the US?

Make your mind up! There's 8,000 miles difference!

You'd need an immigrants visa to stay more than a few months (this as a tourist...not allowed to work)  and they operate a points system.

To have any chance of getting a visa you would need to show you had a skill or a trade that they could use in Australia: nurses, builders, plumbers etc. The process could take months and they would also want evidence of your past as far as criminal convictions goes.

That's the same with the US and every other country you could emigrate to.

  2. Marry an Australian.

  3. You need a visa, but that is only a tourist visa. To actually move and live there you need to prove that you are either fabulously rich or have skills that Australia/New Zealand need, and preferably a job. You'll only get a job if they can't find a national to do that job.

    Good system - love 'em.

  4. no you can not just move to Australia, you have to qualify for immigration
