do mean page file?

page file will work like a virtual ram, but slower in performance because its actually saved on your hard drive.

to increase it go to control panel, click the system, go to advance and under performance go to settings, then advance tab, then virtual memory.

RAM is hardware the only way to increase it is to buy a bigger RAM stick. But you can use less programs at the same time so it is not loaded up all the time
