Is Therrien's "Obstruction" claim valid?

Do you guys believe that Therrien has any reason to say there was too much obstruction on his players?

Maybe in his own mind he does. He's just miffed because the Wings didn't roll over and play dead. He's up against a great team now, and doesn't know what to do. The Pens played well last game, but still they were lucky to escape w/ the win.

Maybe if that reason is to get a rise out of his players... I chalk it up to gamesmanship. Don't really care too much.

There is one very good reason to do it. For whatever reason complaining in the media has always seemed to influence calls in playoff series and he is desperate to do something to get that one call that can change a game. Is it valid? Of course not....bottom line is the Wings have pretty much dominated them by playing their system to a tee. Is he equally as bothered by the phantom goalie interference calls against Holmstrom? Or the dirty shots to Franzens head? Or the cheap shot on an icing (that is about as classless as it gets...we could hear the linesman yelling icing on the boob tube)? Or the other late hits far after the whistle? All of that is part of playoff hockey and honestly no big deal...winning comes at a price and the Wings have shown the willingness to pay that price and just play their game. No running over the goalie, no head shots, no whining to the refs (Crosby will be a great one but until he stops crying on the ice all the time he will always carry that stigma....he is too good for that and it is embarrassing) just hard hitting, playing tough defense and paying the price around the net. That is a winning formula and if Therrien is paying any attention he will use the Wings example of how to win next time (they wont this time!). Wings should finish them off in 5 (as I have said all along) and skate the Cup for the fans at the Joe!

YES!  Therrien & the Pens very rarely complain about refs / calls which gives credibility to this complaint in my eyes.  THERRIEN IS THE MAN (Pens will rise above it all to win the Cup IN 6)!!!!!!!!

It's not so much "if" there was obstruction, it's more of the hypocrisy of his divers.
