Is Therrien believing all the hype, or is it pressure from the league to showcase Crosby?

After games one and two wouldn't you want to get him as far away from Dats and Zetterberg as possible?

Let's not forget, Gretzky's first run for the Cup looked promising in the weaker Campbell (for you newbies to the sport that's now the "West") Conference and then he, Mess, Kurri, Anderson, Fuhr, Moog and the others had a wake-up call when they lost to the Islanders .. it was so bad that for awhile there was a joke on Long Island (correct me if I'm wrong guys) that went something like this: "What do Wayne Gretzky and Mickey Mouse have in common? Neither has scored a goal against the Islanders in the Stanley Cup."

They have to do something to get more shots on net because the red wings D is amazing right now. They should put Crosby, Malkin and Hossa on one line just to get some shots on net.

Therrien will get canned during next season, the Pens will go inside for an interim coach, fire him, and try to bring in an accomplished coach to get them over the top.

Detroit's line 1 and Pitts line 1 have been canceling each other out.  I give Detroit the edge because of the versatility.   Detroit is up in the series because they have shown more depth.

Crosby is one of the best in the league and will continue to grow as a player and leader for this team.  I believe if Therrien puts Crosby, Malkin, and Hossa together they will be able to produce more scoring opportunities which lead to goals.  Dats and Zetterberg will not be able to stop all three of them.

Right now at this point of the careers.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg> Crosby and Malkin.  

I said this before the series started and everybody laughed, now its beginning to look more accurate.

Well, one thing is for sure. He wont be out their when we are on the PP, cause Crosby doesnt kill penalties. And I ask you this.... how can he be the BEST in the league if he isnt good enough to play the PK unit? There are only 2 players on the Wings who dont play PK unit. Hudler and McCarty... and MAC is scratched. LOL

I think Crosby looked pretty decent so far.....Malkin is another story though.

It is not as if Zetterberg (2 points) and Datsyuk (0 points) have been going ballistic.

There IS NO PRESSURE FROM THE LEAGUE to do ANYTHING of the sort. I know you don't believe that to be true for one minute.

I think you are delusional if you think the League has any say in where,,,when..how much Crosby plays.
