  1. This is not a complete multivitamin.....it would be better to take the Centrum (I believe they make a heart health kind)  If you want more Vit C...supplement....if heart disease is a concern also add some CoQ10...if you have never personally had any heart related illness 30-50 mgs should be sufficient....also fish oil, (get the enteric coated kind to avoid fish burps/aftertaste I like the Nordic Naturals brand) a couple grams a day.

  2. Vitamins like Centrum and One a Day are only advertised allot.  That doesn't mean they are any good.  In fact they are some of the bottom end.

The best all natural mult vitamin that is both natural and high potent it is complete.  That is All One,  it can be found on line and in some Kroger stores.  It is in powder form and can be mixed either in water or a fruit juice drink.  Good Luck

  3. The problem with commercial vitamins is that the nutrients are usually man made - not natural. You would do better taking an organic whole food supplement. That way you get all the good stuff  as nature intended it - not just what some scientist pull out and think is good for you.

  4. Try to get your daily supply of vitamins from your food, add fruits, cerials, leafy vegetables to your regular diet. by doing this you wont need that pill at all.

  5. This vitamin has a near toxic amount of Vitamin A, don't take it.  Any basic multi will do, take a separate Vit C if you want more.  You are fooling yourself if you think a multivitamin pill will protect you from heart disease, increase energy or improve health.  It won't.

Diet and exercise are key to protecting your heart and what you don't eat is just as important as what you do eat.  See the link below to the DASH diet.  Exercise moderately for at least 30 mins a day, reduce stress, control hypertension if you get it, eat fish twice a week, beef no more than twice a week, eat 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies every day.

  6. That is a terrible antioxidant ...which is different than a multivitamin mineral like Centrum...and centrum is a terrible multi, because all the ingredients are extremely low and not therapeutic at all.  It's a shame Dr's recommend it only because they recall the name from commercials.  This antioxidant doesn't even have selenium which is like the most important mineral antioxidant!

At minimum you want A,C,E, and Selenium.  You can get these in a good multi sometimes in the right amounts.  A strong herbal one is green tea extract, or grapeseed extract

Add coq-10 for your heart...50 mg.  swansonvitamins.com has good stuff.
