  1. All Vizio models, LCD and plasma, are third tier junk! http://www.hdguru.com/your-new-disposabl... Anyone advising otherwise is a salesman looking for a commission or just doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

In 37", 32", and 26", the top (all LCD) two brands, in BOTH performance and reliability, are Panasonic and Sony. Next, but a very good set, is Toshiba followed, perhaps, by Sharp and Samsung. If you can't afford one of these, save up or keep what you have. And unless you get a screen size of at least 46", don't fall for the 1080p hype. In these smaller screen sizes, you will never be able to realistically tell the difference between 1080p and 720p/1080i resolutions. If you really want a plasma (I have a 50" plasma), get the Panasonic 42" Viera 720p/1080i - best buy for your dollar.

  2. They are up there in the top ten but Panasonic 1080p tops them all and the prices are coming down.. Check them out.

Having contrast ratio of 30,000:1 is really good.. Most older sets are 5000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000... Panasonic has just come out with a plasma with 30,000;1 ratio now.. Some people feel strongly that you will not be able to tell the difference but I have already checked it out and adding the extra 10,000;1 is a big giant amount if you consider the gradual incline as before... I am holding out for the prices on the new th-42 inch model 800u to surface and be on sale.. This model has so much more than any of the 2008 models out there..(4 imputs, surround sound with four speakers, etc)

  3. Is very new to me, Plasma can made 32 inc in cost of 550, because to made 50 inc plasma and 40 inc below is same cost.

  4. what model number is it?  I'd check out cnet, pricegrabber and other review/pricing sites to make sure it's what you are looking for before going through the hassle of returning your current tv.
