Is This A Good Job Or Not For Me

Question

I'll be a junior in high school this year but everyone is on me to decide what I want to be later in life so I can get classes I need. I've been thinking and I like the idea of working for a foster care agency. I love working with kids and teens and this would be great. What do you think & any other ideas?????

That's good, get a degree in Social Service, or Human Health Services or

    * Advocate (social worker, careers adviser)

    * Health Care (children’s nurse)

    * Educator (play worker, teacher, classroom assistant)

    * Listener (counselor)

    * Therapist (educational psychologist, speech therapist)

Do you have any experience working with kids and teens?  I too thought this would be a great career, and I have been a middle school/elementary school counselor for the past four years.  It has been HORRIBLE and you get so sick of badly behaved kids.  I'd recommend you try some church nursery care or volunteer somewhere before taking classes and committing to something like that.
