Question:

Is This An Advantage or Disadvantage?

I have small eye openings (someone said slits) but I am not Asian. When my eyes are open, they appear slightly squinted to those with "normal eyes" and if I try to open them to their fullest they appear only as wide as a normaly open eye on people with "normal eyes". When I squint, my eyes appear fully closed although I can see everything just fine and it is fun to mess with people especialy when they are riding with me in the jeep. I wonder if there is an advantage to this such as better protection to the eye from my lashes. I have had girls compliment my eyes in the past but I was wondering if anyone else out there has naturaly squinty or narrow eye openings. Ive noticed that in my jeep, wind does not affect me and cause me to tear up as it does others with "normal eyes". I dont know what Im talking about realy just answer the d**n question.

  1. Doc,

The narrowness of the eyes combined with the lashes provide protection against foreign material and bright light from entering the eye.  It is a good thing to have this configuration as long as your eyes are wide enough to see everything without impairment.

I hope that answered the "d**n question."
