Is it normal if your parents dont let you watch The Simpsons and Family Guy at age 12???

they watched it with me before...anyways..

thats a bit odd but you have to convice your mature enough to watch this kind of stuff...its like 12+ so i guess your old enough..

i've always been alowed 2 watch the simpsons but wen i was 12 i started 2 watch familiy guy........

yeah very normal...well the simpsons i have been watching since i could remember i guess i was like 2(but thats because thats my daddy's favorite show ever) but family guy i wasn't allowed to watch till i was 14...and honestly there are some things on family guy that most 12 year olds shouldn't understand and they are pretty dirty...so yes you shouldn't watch family guy at 12, the simpsons i would say 11 or 12. but family guy is rated tv 14 hence you should be 14 when you watch...and h**l im 15 and don't always get ever dirty joke on family guy...because thats pretty much all it is...dirty jokes..and stewie(the baby) wanting to kill his mom!

In some families. When I was younger, until I was about 13, I wasn't allowed to watch either of them. When I got a little older, my parents seen that I was grown enough to handle it, and they let me watch whatever I want to on tv.

It's perfectly normal, some parents are just concerned of what their kids watch. My parents let me watch anything I want, but I remember when I was 12 my parents were watching The Simpsons with me.. ugh I just hate when my parents are watching TV shows with me. Now I don't even watch TV! That's good though, because TV is only for entertainment and you shouldn't spend your whole day in front of the idiot box unless you're learning something. Hang in their kid, but it's not a big deal if they don't let you. x

idk, i was raised differently, my rents let me watch stuff like Saw at a young age
