I have a baby iguana and he has these strange worty bumps on his right knee and right elbow. The one on his elbow is really recent the other one has been there for about a week. And before you think I'm a bad owner, he does have an appointment to see the vet this friday. But I can't wait till then, I want to know if it's life threatening or something easy to cure.

  1. hi i have an iguana and it has various bumps on its body, i really don't think its a problem but do the bumps look infected or red? its always good to go see a vet anyway to check for worms and parasites because most iguanas are shipped from mexico and south america and are riddled with disease but anyway i wouldn't worry about it.

  2. Yeh, Maybe his knee is injured and it may get infected, maybe you should go to the vet and check him out

  3. iguanas are supposed to have bumps on their bodies.

  4. from the sounds of it it sounds curable. But its a good thing you have a vet appt. Hope all works out well

  5. it sounds serious but don't know anything about iguanas

  6. I think a vet is necessary but can wait until friday. It is probably an abscess. These can be caused by parasites. When you go to your vet take a sample of fresh p**p. It has to be soft, and they can test if for parasites and worm him if he has them.

Usually after they worm them once reptile owner do not have anymore problems.

Parasites in the reptile community has been a growing problems. Its a good idea to take any new reptile to the vet and checked for worms as soon as you obtain it.

  7. Put him in the oven for about 5 mins on 375, he'll be fine after

  8. Those bumps are common in iguanas it just means it needs more vitamin c in its diet.

  9. Thats NORMAL

  10. Put some windex on it.
